PIT CREW CHIEF

John "Stew" Stewart, Sacramento, California

Scrappers Racing is excited to have the talented veteran Crew Chief, "Stew" on board, who was the youngest-ever Top Fuel driver to receive his NHRA license at the age of 16.  He has a keen understanding of the dynamics of the intricate clutch system on our 8,000 hp dragster.  John grew up in the Sacramento, Ca area and drove Top Fuel cars in the early 70s,  and in 1973 earned a spot in the 16-member Crager 5-second Club.  "Stews" long career includes positions with Kalitta, Muldowney, C. Pedregon, Wilkerson, Skuza, Epler, Bandergriff, Don Prudhomme, Morgan Lucas and most recently with Bernstein teams.  Not only is he extremely talented, he's also a very kind, genuine guy.  

Pit Crew Members:

Monolito Jimenez, San Jose, CA

Mono is a Crew Member for all 3 teams:  Top Fuel, Nostalgia, and Junior teams and holds the position of Facility Director.  Mono has been in the automotive industry most of his life.  He has extensive knowledge in many areas:  lowriders, hotrods, vintage, customs, to classic cars.  Mono is passionate about his work and brings an amazing work ethic to the team.  Mono worked with Scrappers Racing during their first season in 2011 and his efforts made an impression on the owners.  

Mono is also instrumental in helping oversee the design and construction of the Scrappers' new headquarters.
