NOSTALGIA DRIVERS:

Jasmine "Jazzy" Salinas, Age 20

Jasmime started driving at a very young age.  When she was a mere 4 years old, her dad placed her in an exacavator.  She quickly figured out how to pick up junk cars and throw them from one pile to the next, making the loader operators pick up their game.  She continued learning her driving skills behind the wheel of a go-kart where she raced her other sisters in their backyard, proving to be a contender.  At the age of 14, Jasmine started Junior Dragracing and loved it.  She is now in her third year of college, majoring in Global Studies with a focus on Chinese Culture.  She has plans to incorporate her studies with a future graduate program at the Fashion Design Institute. 

Aside from being a team driver and assisting the Juniors, she works with the hospitality division, organizing and planning events.  Jasmine is currently training in the front-engine Nostalgia Dragster, with a goal of moving into the Top Fuel category.  You can catch Jasmine at the NHRA National Events backing up her dad in his Top Fuel car.

Jacquelin "Jacqui" Salinas, Age 19

Jacqui also started her driving career at a young age.  While still strapped in her carseat, Jacqui was placed in a Cat Loader and instructed to move the cars strewn by her older sister from one pile to another.  She quickly picked up these skills and proved to show good mechanical abilities.  She also continued honing her driving skills behind the wheel of a go-kart, often beating everyone in sight.  At the age of 13, Jacqui sat in a junior dragster and loved it as well.  Jacqui is currently in the process of training in the front-engine dragster, having already made a few passes down the track.  She is showing good progress and is on her way to be a great contender.  This season Jacqui joined the pit crew in sharing the duties of backing up her dad on the track.  Jacqui has her eye on a Top Fuel dragster as well. 

Jacqui is on her second year of college, studying Engineering, with a focus on design/mechanical engineering.  She has goals of being an inventor/entrepreneur.
