Born and raised in San Jose, California, Mike was exposed to racing at a very young age by his father, Mike Sr. who drag raced his hot rods in the fifties and sixties.
One of Mike's fondest memories is of his dad introducing him to Don Prudhomme who let him sit in his dragster. It has been a life-long dream to build his own race team from scratch.
Mike has run a front-engine dragster in the Nostaligia Eliminator 1 and the 7.0 Pro classes for the past six years. He has dipped the dragster into the 6-second range in the top dragster class with speeds that were in the 240 mph range. Mike received his Top Fuel license at the Texas Motorsports Complex in 2009.
Mike is probably one of the hardest working guys you'll ever meet. He started working at a very young age and continues to do so when he isn't racing. Mike has a keen eye for detail and is very creative, which is witnessed by the team's vehicles and equipment. Mike has been with his wife, Monica, for 32 years. They have 4 daughters, all of whom race dragsters.
